Standard Notes stores encrypted content, and voice input still works because the system dictation runs on the device before the note is saved.

Start voice input

On Mac press the Fn key twice inside the target field.
On Windows press Windows plus H to open voice typing.
On Chromebook enable dictation in Accessibility settings.
Click into a note body first so the caret is inside the editor.

Privacy note

The audio you speak goes to the system dictation service before Standard Notes ever sees the text. Read those settings before you speak sensitive names or numbers.
