Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Zahvox may use cookies and similar browser storage on the website, the free web voice-to-text experience, and future product features.

On this page
Cookies and similar technologies are a normal part of running a modern website. This page describes what those technologies do, why Zahvox may use them, and how you can control them. It is written to match the actual product stage — a free web experience today, with browser extension, accounts, saved history, and paid plans planned.
Section 01

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of text that a website can store in your browser. They can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by other services embedded on that site (third-party cookies). Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, which also let a site store information in your browser.

Section 02

2. Why Zahvox may use cookies and browser storage

Zahvox may use these technologies to keep the site working correctly (for example, remembering a theme or interface preference), to understand how people use the site so it can be improved, and to prepare features such as accounts, saved history, and billing when they are introduced.

Section 03

3. Essential cookies

Essential cookies and storage are required for the site or the tool to function. Examples include remembering that you have accepted a notice, storing a UI preference, or keeping the state of the free voice-to-text tool while you use it in a browser tab. These cannot reasonably be turned off without breaking basic functionality.

Section 04

4. Preference cookies

Preference cookies remember choices you make, such as a light or dark theme, or the last free tool you used. They exist to make the site more comfortable to use. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings.

Section 05

5. Analytics cookies

If analytics tools are enabled, they may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure aggregate usage — for example, which pages are visited, which features are used, and how users move through the site. Analytics data is used to prioritize the roadmap and improve the product, not to build personal profiles for advertising.

Section 06

6. Marketing cookies

Zahvox does not currently use marketing cookies, ad-network pixels, or cross-site tracking. If marketing cookies are added later, this policy will be updated and, where required, a cookie banner or preference system will be added so users can consent, decline, or manage their choices.

Section 07

7. Third-party cookies

Some services used to host, monitor, or analyze the site may set their own cookies or identifiers. Examples include hosting providers, error-monitoring tools, and analytics tools. Those services have their own privacy and cookie practices, which are governed by their own policies.

Section 08

8. How you can control cookies

You can control cookies in your browser by clearing them, blocking third-party cookies, using private or incognito browsing, or installing browser extensions that manage tracking. Blocking essential cookies or storage may prevent parts of the site from working properly.

Section 09

9. Browser settings

Most modern browsers include cookie and site-data controls under settings. Refer to the documentation for your specific browser to learn how to view, delete, or block cookies from particular sites or all sites.

Section 10

10. Future account, session, and payment cookies

Once accounts, saved history, or paid billing are introduced, additional cookies may be needed. Examples include an authentication cookie to keep you signed in, a session cookie to keep your workspace state, or a payment session cookie for checkout. These will be documented here when the features ship.

Section 11

11. Cookie updates

This Cookie Policy may change as the product evolves. The last updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If Zahvox introduces analytics, marketing pixels, or third-party tracking that requires consent, a cookie banner or preference system should be added as required by applicable law.

Section 12

12. Contact

Questions about this Cookie Policy can be sent through the contact page or by email to hello@zahvox.com.

This page is provided for transparency and product information. It is not legal advice. Zahvox should have these policies reviewed by a qualified legal professional before public launch or paid billing. Policies may change as the product evolves — the last updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
