Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Zahvox handles information when you visit the website, use the free web voice-to-text experience, contact us, or interact with related pages and tools.

On this page
Zahvox is a voice-to-writing platform for people who think faster than they type. The current release focuses on a free web experience that turns your voice into editable text inside the browser. This document is written in plain language so anyone using Zahvox can understand what happens with their information today, and how the policy will evolve as features like accounts, saved history, browser extension, desktop app, and paid plans are added.
Section 01

Who we are

Zahvox is a voice-to-writing platform launched by Hussain Jatoi. The product is currently in an early stage. The website and the free web tool at /tool are the primary user-facing surfaces. As paid plans, accounts, extensions, and additional workflows are added, this policy will be updated to reflect them.

For questions about how information is handled, see the Contact section at the end of this page.

Section 02

What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

  • The Zahvox website and its marketing pages.
  • The free web voice-to-text experience at /tool.
  • The free utility pages under /free-tools.
  • The contact form and any direct messages you send.
  • Future features including the browser extension, desktop app, accounts, saved history, personas, writing modes, team workflows, and paid plans, once those ship.

It does not cover third-party websites or tools that Zahvox may link to. Those services have their own privacy practices.

Section 03

Information you provide

When you contact Zahvox, submit feedback, or fill in a form, you may share:

  • Your name.
  • Your email address.
  • The content of your message or feedback.
  • Optional role or use-case information (for example, "founder", "student", "sales").
  • Feature requests, product ideas, or bug reports.
  • Any files or attachments you choose to include.

You control what you include in these messages. Please avoid submitting confidential business information, credentials, health details, or personal identifiers that you would not want stored in a normal email inbox.

Section 04

Information collected automatically

Depending on implementation and the analytics or hosting tools in use, the website may collect basic technical information such as:

  • Device and browser information (for example, browser type and version).
  • IP address or approximate location derived from IP.
  • Pages visited and referral source.
  • Cookies or similar technologies used to remember preferences.
  • Error logs and diagnostic events used for debugging.
  • Aggregate usage events showing which pages and features are used.

If analytics, logging, or product-usage tools are added or changed in the future, this policy will be updated to describe them, and cookie disclosures will be aligned with the Cookie Policy.

Section 05

Voice and transcript information

The current free web voice-to-text experience relies on the browser's speech recognition capability and requires microphone permission. You choose when to start and stop recording. The transcript appears in the page so you can edit, copy, download, or clear it.

Zahvox does not claim that audio "never leaves the device". Some browsers process speech recognition locally, and others use a service provided by the browser vendor. Behavior depends on your browser and platform. Zahvox itself does not intentionally record, store, or transmit your raw audio to a Zahvox-owned backend in the current free web tool.

As features like AI cleanup, writing modes, personas, saved history, browser extension, or desktop app ship, voice and transcript handling may change. When that happens, this policy and the Data Handling Policy will be updated to describe exactly what is processed, where, and by whom.

Section 06

How information may be used

Information Zahvox receives may be used to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the free web tool and website.
  • Respond to messages, feedback, and support requests.
  • Understand which features are in demand and prioritize the roadmap.
  • Troubleshoot problems and monitor for errors.
  • Maintain security and prevent misuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations that may apply.
  • Prepare future account, billing, and team-workflow features when they ship.

Zahvox does not intend to sell personal information. If that changes, this policy will be updated and any required choices will be presented to users.

Section 07

Cookies and similar technologies

Zahvox may use cookies or similar browser storage for essential site functions (for example, remembering a theme preference), and may add analytics cookies in the future to measure aggregate usage. Marketing or advertising cookies are not in use today. If they are added later, the Cookie Policy and this Privacy Policy will be updated.

Full details, including what cookies do and how to control them in your browser, are described in the Cookie Policy.

Section 08

How information may be shared

Information may be shared with categories of service providers that support the product, such as:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Analytics or error-monitoring tools, if enabled.
  • Email and contact-form services used to receive and reply to messages.
  • Payment processors, once paid plans are introduced.
  • Legal, compliance, and security providers when needed.

Information may also be shared if required by law, to protect the rights, safety, and property of Zahvox and its users, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition. Zahvox does not intend to sell personal information.

Section 09

Data retention

Contact messages and feedback may be retained for as long as needed to reply, understand product demand, and improve Zahvox. Basic technical logs may be retained for security and debugging purposes. Once account, saved history, and billing systems are introduced, those features will have separate, clearly described retention rules.

You may request deletion of personal information you have submitted, subject to any legal obligations that require retention.

Section 10

Your choices

  • Avoid submitting personal information you do not want stored.
  • Use the "clear" action inside the free web tool to remove the transcript from the page.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have submitted, where applicable law grants those rights.
  • Adjust cookie and site-data settings in your browser.
  • Unsubscribe from any product updates if email notifications are added in the future.
Section 11

International users

Zahvox may be accessed by people around the world. Privacy rights and data protection rules vary by region. Users are responsible for complying with local rules that apply to how they use the tool. Zahvox will update this policy to reflect any additional regional obligations that become applicable.

Section 12

Children's privacy

Zahvox is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required by local law where higher. Zahvox does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can address it.

Section 13

Security

Zahvox aims to use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no website, service, or online tool can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping devices and accounts you use to access Zahvox reasonably secure. Zahvox does not claim certifications such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or GDPR compliance at this stage. When formal certifications or compliance programs are pursued, they will be documented publicly.

Section 14

Future product features

Accounts, saved history, personas, writing modes, browser extension, desktop and mobile apps, plugin integrations, team workflows, and paid plans are all currently planned or in development. Each of these features may introduce additional data handling. When they ship, this Privacy Policy and the Data Handling Policy will be updated to describe what changes.

Section 15

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Zahvox evolves. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Legal Center page.

Section 16
