Terms of Service

By using Zahvox you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any other policy referenced on the Legal Center page. If you use Zahvox on behalf of a company or team, you agree that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

Zahvox is a voice-to-writing platform. The current release provides a free web experience that captures voice input, produces an editable transcript, and lets you copy or download text. Additional free utilities are available under /free-tools.

The free web voice-to-text experience is provided as-is without warranties. It depends on your browser's speech recognition capability, microphone permission, and network conditions. Accuracy and availability vary between browsers and devices.

Features such as AI cleanup, writing modes, personas, saved history, browser extension, desktop app, plugin integrations, team workflows, and paid plans are planned or in development. They are not currently live unless explicitly labeled as such on the Roadmap and Features pages. Any pricing, plan name, or feature described as planned is subject to change.

You are responsible for the content you record, the text you generate, edit, copy, or download, and how you use Zahvox output in your own workflows. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your use of the tool.

Use Zahvox for its intended purpose: turning your spoken thoughts into usable writing. Respect the rights of others whose voice or information you capture. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it in ways that violate applicable law.

• Illegal activity of any kind.
• Harassment, hate speech, or content that targets a person or group.
• Recording others without consent where consent is required by law.
• Attempts to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
• Automated scraping or excessive requests that degrade the service.
• Use of Zahvox to generate content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Fraudulent or deceptive activity, including impersonating Zahvox or its founder.

You are responsible for what you say into the tool and for the content of the resulting transcript. If your voice input contains sensitive, confidential, or third-party information, you are responsible for how it is captured, edited, shared, or stored downstream.

Planned features such as AI cleanup, writing modes, and personas may generate or reformat text based on your voice input. AI output may contain mistakes, omissions, or misinterpretations. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all output before sending, publishing, or otherwise relying on it. Zahvox does not warrant that AI-generated output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

You retain ownership of the voice input you record and the text you produce with Zahvox. By using the service you grant Zahvox a limited license to process that content strictly to operate and improve the tool. Zahvox does not claim ownership of your writing.

Content on Zahvox and any output generated by the tool is not legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. If you need advice for your specific situation, consult a qualified professional.

Zahvox does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website, the free tool, or any future feature. The service may be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time. Planned maintenance and unexpected outages may affect availability.

Features may be added, changed, or removed as the product evolves. The Roadmap and Changelog pages track material changes over time.

Accounts are not currently available in the free web experience. When accounts are introduced, additional terms will apply, including a duty to keep your credentials secure and to notify Zahvox of any unauthorized use.

Paid plans and billing are planned but not currently live. When billing is introduced, additional payment terms, tax handling, and billing dispute rules will apply. See the Payment Terms for planned details.

All future paid purchases, subscriptions, upgrades, digital products, and account features are non-refundable unless required by applicable law. See the Refund Policy for full details.

The Zahvox name, logo, website, product design, source code, and content are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to Zahvox brand assets except as described in the Licensing Info page.

Zahvox may rely on browser APIs, hosting providers, analytics tools, and other third-party services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Zahvox is not responsible for issues caused by third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zahvox and its founder are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or the tool. Zahvox's total liability for any claim relating to the free service is limited to the amount you have paid for that service, which is zero for the current free web experience.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zahvox and its founder from any claim, liability, damage, or expense arising out of your use of the service, your voice input, your written content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Zahvox may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using Zahvox at any time.

The governing law and jurisdiction for these Terms will be reviewed and completed by a qualified legal professional before public launch. Until that review is complete, any dispute will be handled in good faith and in accordance with applicable law.

These Terms may be updated as Zahvox grows. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
