The voice tool is not transcribing — is it down?

Almost always it is a browser or microphone issue, not a Zahvox outage. Start with /guides/voice-to-text-not-working, then check microphone permissions in your browser.

Why does the tool work in Chrome but not Firefox?

Zahvox uses the browser's built-in Web Speech API. Firefox does not support it today. Chrome, Edge, and Safari are the reliable options.

Is there a support SLA?

No. Zahvox is early and does not offer a dedicated support SLA. Reach the team from /contact and we reply as quickly as we can.

Current status summary

The Zahvox website and free voice-to-writing tool are operational. Voice recognition itself runs inside your browser via the Web Speech API, so its behaviour depends on your browser and microphone permissions, not on a Zahvox server. Everything on the roadmap that is not marked Operational is either in development or planned.

Zahvox does not claim 99.9% uptime, external monitoring, or dedicated support. When automated monitoring is added, this page will link to it.

· Firefox does not support the browser speech API today.
· Accuracy drops sharply in noisy rooms; a headset microphone helps.
· Names, numbers, and technical terms usually need a manual review pass.
· The current free experience has no account, so nothing is saved between sessions — copy or download what you want to keep.

How to troubleshoot

Reload /tool and grant microphone permission when the browser prompts.
Check your microphone works in another site or app.
Try Chrome on desktop or Android if Safari or Edge behaves oddly.
