What the cleaner does today

  • Removes common English filler words (um, uh, like, you know, basically, etc.)
  • Collapses duplicated consecutive words
  • Fixes spacing around punctuation
  • Capitalises sentence starts and standalone "I"
  • Adds periods when sentences run together
  • Splits long text into paragraphs of roughly three sentences

Planned AI cleanup

Advanced AI cleanup is in development and will help remove filler more accurately, improve structure for specific writing modes (email, LinkedIn, meeting notes), and shape output around personas. Until it ships, this rules-based cleaner is a fast, private way to get most of the way there.

Why use the Zahvox version

Zahvox is being built as a voice-to-writing platform, not just a transcriber. The free cleaner here is a working preview of the cleanup layer inside the broader product. The more advanced AI cleanup, writing modes, and personas will connect through the same workflow.

From voice-to-text to voice-to-writing

Want to turn voice into writing faster?

Zahvox starts with free tools, but the larger platform is being built for voice-to-writing workflows across notes, emails, replies, drafts, and future extension experiences.

Current web experience available today. Browser extension, AI cleanup, personas, writing modes, saved history, and desktop app are in development or planned.

This free tool supports the Zahvox voice-to-writing workflow. Use the main voice tool to capture rough thoughts, then use this utility to clean, measure, format, or prepare the text before copying it into your workflow.
