How to dictate LinkedIn posts

Most LinkedIn posts die at the draft stage, not the publish stage. Voice moves you past the draft in a few minutes. You still edit before posting; you just get to the editing part faster.

Quick answer

Open zahvox.com/tool. Speak the story first, then the takeaway. Edit the transcript. Add the hook line and format for short paragraphs. Copy the text into the LinkedIn composer. Zahvox does not integrate with LinkedIn today; it is copy and paste.

The story-first structure

  • Story: the specific moment, situation, or observation. Two to four sentences.
  • Turn: what happened next, or what you noticed.
  • Takeaway: the one line the reader keeps.
  • Hook: write this last. It is the opening line the feed sees before the reader clicks.

Example: a short story post

Voice: "A candidate we interviewed last week did something no one else did. They asked to see the actual product before the second call. We sent a login. They came back with three questions no one on our team had asked. It reminded me that seniority is not about titles. It is about how fast someone gets into the material." Edit for line breaks and add a hook: "The best interview I did last week lasted eight minutes."

Example: a lesson post

Voice: "We tried three onboarding flows in the last quarter. The one that worked best was the shortest. Two screens, one question, one button. Every extra step lost us people. If you are writing onboarding, cut the second screen. Then cut the first."

Common mistakes

  • Writing the hook first and then trying to squeeze a story to match.
  • Sending the raw transcript without breaking it into short paragraphs.
  • Ending on a vague call to action; a takeaway beats a CTA on most posts.
  • Using LinkedIn buzzwords the voice pass did not use.
  • Over-formatting; the platform strips most of it.

The Zahvox workflow

  • Open /tool.
  • Allow the microphone once.
  • Speak the story, turn, and takeaway.
  • Edit the transcript inline.
  • Write the hook line last.
  • Copy or download.
  • Paste into the LinkedIn composer, add line breaks, and post.

Frequency workflow

Batch three post drafts in one voice session. Fifteen minutes of speaking becomes a week of scheduled posts once you edit and paste them into LinkedIn or your scheduler. This is how creators stay consistent without a full daily writing block.

Browser and device notes

Chrome or Edge on desktop are the most reliable for longer posts. Safari and mobile Chrome are fine for short ones. Zahvox auto-restarts supported browser speech recognition sessions where the browser allows it.

Honest product status

There is no LinkedIn integration today. Zahvox does not post, schedule, or track analytics. Direct injection into the composer is on the roadmap through the browser extension. Copy and paste is the honest answer today.
