Writing modes are named formatting presets applied to a transcript after capture. Each mode enforces conventions typical of the format: subject lines for email, bullet structure for notes, casual tone for chat replies, and so on.

Why it matters
The same 60-second voice thought becomes very different final text depending on whether it's an email, a Slack message, a blog draft, or a client update. Writing modes remove the manual reformatting step.
How this relates to Zahvox
Writing modes are planned for Zahvox as a follow-up to AI cleanup. They will apply on top of the cleaned transcript to produce a format-appropriate version alongside the raw text.

Example
You speak a rough idea. In 'Email' mode, it becomes a short email with a greeting. In 'Note' mode, it becomes 3 bullet points. In 'Client reply' mode, it becomes a polite two-line reply.
