Transcript cleanup is any process — manual, rules-based, or AI-driven — that takes a raw transcript and turns it into readable text. Typical steps include removing fillers, adding punctuation, correcting misrecognized words, and formatting into paragraphs, bullets, or sections.

Why it matters

Raw speech-to-text is rarely ready to send. The gap between 'text captured' and 'text usable' is the whole reason voice-to-writing exists as a category.
