AI cleanup is in development for Zahvox. Today, users can record, edit, copy and download text in the free web tool at /tool, and use the voice notes cleaner, email draft generator and meeting notes formatter under /free-tools. The planned AI cleanup workflow will help turn rough spoken transcripts into cleaner writing across emails, notes, replies, drafts and meeting notes.

This feature is in development. The current Zahvox web tool does not include the full workflow yet.

What ai cleanup means

  • · AI cleanup is a second pass on top of the raw transcript. The raw transcript stays. The cleanup version sits beside it so you can compare.
  • · It is not a rewrite in someone else's voice. The goal is that your friend or client reads the cleaned draft and still thinks it sounds like you.
  • · It focuses on the small repairs a human would do: cut fillers, fix restarts, repair a dropped word, add punctuation the mic missed, tighten a run-on sentence.
  • · It does not invent facts, names, numbers or claims that were not in the spoken input.

Why this matters

  • · A transcript is not writing. A two-minute voice note becomes a wall of ums, restarts and half sentences.
  • · Most people either send the raw version and feel unprofessional, or spend ten minutes cleaning it and lose the time voice was supposed to save.
  • · Cleanup closes that gap. You speak the messy version once, and you get a draft you can send with a small edit.
  • · It matters most on the writing you do every day: client replies, internal updates, quick notes to yourself that you want to reread later.

How ai cleanup will work in Zahvox

Intended workflow. Not fully live yet.

  • · You open the Zahvox web tool and speak as normal. The live transcript captures your words.
  • · You press a cleanup action on the transcript. The cleaned draft appears beside the original.
  • · You review the cleaned version, keep what works, restore any line from the raw transcript with one click.
  • · You copy the cleaned text or download it, then paste into email, chat, docs or your CMS. This is the intended workflow. It is not fully live yet.

Intended workflow examples

Example of the intended workflow · not fully live yet

Client reply

You speak a rough answer to a client email. The cleaned draft removes the ums, joins the two half sentences, and keeps your point in your voice. Example of the intended workflow.

Meeting recap

You talk through what was decided after a call. The cleaned draft groups the decisions and next steps into short paragraphs. Example of the intended workflow.

Post outline

You brainstorm a post by voice. The cleaned draft keeps the strongest lines and cuts the restarts, so you can turn it into a hook and outline. Example of the intended workflow.

Internal update

You dictate a Monday update to your team. The cleaned draft turns your talk into three short paragraphs a teammate can skim. Example of the intended workflow.

Voice note to self

You capture an idea while walking. The cleaned draft becomes a note you can reread next week without decoding. Example of the intended workflow.

Draft reply for review

You speak a first pass at a hard reply, then edit the cleaned draft before sending. Example of the intended workflow.

Illustrative before and after

Rough spoken input

okay so for the client update i want to say that um we finished the homepage redesign and like we are about to move to the pricing page next but the copy for the pricing page is not final yet so we probably need another week

Intended output

Client update: we finished the homepage redesign and are moving to the pricing page next. The pricing copy is not final yet, so we need another week before that page is ready.

Current limitations

  • · This feature is in development. The current Zahvox web tool does not include the full workflow yet.
  • · The free rules-based cleaners under /free-tools do simple tidying only. They do not do full model-based cleanup.
  • · Cleanup will never invent facts, names or numbers that were not in the spoken input.
  • · Cleanup will not replace a human review before you send an important message.
  • · Long speech sessions still depend on browser behaviour for the underlying capture.
