Personas

Personas are tone presets — friendly, formal, brief, warm — that shape how your voice-to-writing output sounds without rewriting what you said.

Definition

A persona is a named tone configuration applied to text output. Personas typically control formality, warmth, verbosity, and word choice. They're distinct from writing modes, which control format.

In plain language

Same content, different feel. 'Friendly' sounds like a coffee chat. 'Formal' sounds like a board update.

Why it matters

Consistency in tone builds trust. Personas let a person or a brand keep the same voice across dozens of messages without rewriting each one from scratch.

How this relates to Zahvox

Personas are planned for Zahvox alongside writing modes. They will let you save a default tone and switch to alternates when needed.

Status: In development for Zahvox. Not shipped yet.

Example

Same input: "we need to reschedule the launch." Friendly persona: "Hey team — we're going to shift the launch. Details coming." Formal persona: "Please note the launch will be rescheduled. A revised timeline will follow."
