No. Text injection is in development. Today you can copy or download the text from /tool and paste it into your target app.

Does it work in Gmail, Notion, LinkedIn or Slack today?

No. Live in-page injection is not shipped. Direct in-page workflows are on the roadmap.

Does the free voice tool require signup?

No. /tool works without an account. Injection may require a lightweight extension-level account when it ships.

Does it require a download?

The web tool does not. The browser extension that injection depends on will install from a browser store when it ships.

Which browsers will support injection first?

Chromium browsers such as Chrome and Edge, since the extension targets them first.

The free web voice tool and the free writing utilities stay free. Injection and cleanup are planned as paid features linked to Writer and Pro tiers.

AI cleanup, writing modes, personas, templates and saved history sit near injection on the roadmap.

How does this relate to Zahvox?

Zahvox is a voice-to-writing platform. Injection is the surface that will make voice output feel as native as typing into a field.

Does Zahvox store my text?

The current free web tool does not save your text to a Zahvox account. Injection will follow the same defaults, with opt-in saved history planned later.

What text injection means

· Text injection places written output into an input field on your screen.
· It removes the manual copy and paste step between the voice tool and the app.
· It does not read or send your text anywhere on its own. It only fills the field you point at.
· It depends on the browser extension. It is not a system-wide keyboard replacement.

Why this matters

· Copy and paste is small friction, but it stacks up across a day.
· For people who write across many apps, one click is much faster than tab-switching, selecting and pasting.
· It also reduces formatting mistakes that happen when you paste into rich text editors.
· It gets voice-to-writing closer to how a keyboard feels: you point at the field, you produce text.

How text injection will work in Zahvox

Intended workflow. Not fully live yet.

· You install the Zahvox browser extension when it ships.
· You click into the input field you want to fill: an email body, a chat input, a CRM note, a form.
· You open the Zahvox panel from the extension and speak.
· You review the cleaned text and press an inject action. The text lands in the field. This is the intended workflow. It is not fully live yet.

Current limitations

· This feature is in development. The current Zahvox web tool does not inject text into other apps.
· Injection depends on the browser extension, which is also in development.
· It will not work in native desktop apps outside the browser. A future desktop app is planned.
· Some rich text editors handle pasted content in their own way. Injection will match paste behaviour, not a full DOM rewrite.
· Long speech sessions still depend on browser behaviour for the underlying capture.
