Saved history for voice-to-writing

Saved history will keep every session you want to keep — the raw transcript, any cleaned version, the mode and persona used, and the version you actually sent — and let you search it later. Saved history is planned. Today the free web tool does not store anything between visits.

PlannedQuick answer

Saved history is planned for Zahvox. Today users can copy or download the text from the free web tool between sessions — nothing is stored on a Zahvox server. Saved history will let signed-in users keep and search past transcripts and outputs.

This feature is planned. The current Zahvox web tool does not include this yet.

What saved history means

  • · Saved history is a personal library of the sessions you keep.
  • · It will store the raw transcript, cleaned draft, mode, persona, and final version.
  • · Sessions will be titled, dated, and searchable.
  • · History will be private-by-default and opt-in.
  • · Export and delete will ship together so nothing is locked in.

Why this matters

  • · People who write a lot repeat themselves in useful ways.
  • · The client story you told once becomes a case study later.
  • · A rough walk-thought becomes an outline for next week.
  • · Without a searchable record, that repetition is lost.

How saved history may work in Zahvox

Planned workflow · not live yet

  • · Sign in to your account.
  • · Choose which sessions to save; the default is off until you decide.
  • · Each saved session stores transcript, cleaned draft, mode, and persona.
  • · Search across titles, dates, and text.
  • · Export any session or the whole history as text; delete anything or all of it.

What users can do today

Available today in the free Zahvox web tool and free writing utilities. No signup, no download.

  • · Copy or download the text from /tool before you close the tab.
  • · Keep dated notes in your own tool: one file per week or per project.
  • · Use the voice notes cleaner, email generator, or meeting formatter on saved text later.
  • · Track counts and reading time before you archive a session.

Who it is for

  • · Founders capturing product ideas between meetings
  • · Freelancers replying to clients from a phone or laptop
  • · Creators drafting posts, hooks and outlines by voice
  • · Students turning study talk into notes
  • · Consultants writing post-call memos
  • · Agency owners sending briefs and follow-ups
  • · Salespeople logging CRM notes right after a call
  • · Website designers and SEO experts drafting copy quickly
  • · Virtual assistants clearing an inbox faster
  • · People who hate typing and slow typers

Planned workflow examples

Example of the planned workflow · not live yet

Reuse a story

Pull a client story from three months ago into a new case study draft.

Old outline, new post

Find last quarter's outline and reshape it into this week's post.

Search a phrase

Look up where you first explained a concept and reuse the wording.

Compare cleanups

Revisit a raw transcript and rerun a newer cleanup on it.

Archive a project

Export all sessions for a project as text and store them outside Zahvox.

Example of the planned experience

Rough spoken input

reminder search history for how i explained the discovery call last quarter want to reuse that intro paragraph in the new proposal

Planned output

Session · Q1 · Discovery call intro: · Opens with 'why now', then goals, then constraints. · Two sentences long, first-person. · Reused as opener for Acme proposal.

Planned output. Saved history would let you search and pull this old snippet.

Current limitations

  • · Saved history is not live in the free web tool today.
  • · Accounts are also planned, so there is no place to store history yet.
  • · AI cleanup is in development, so 'cleaned version' rows will fill later.
  • · Long speech sessions still depend on browser speech recognition behavior.
  • · Team-level history depends on the planned team workspace.
